This book is the first in the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare. It follows her earlier series, The Mortal Instruments, which has been made into a film. It is set in Victorian England of 1878. This book debuted at no. 1 on the New York Times Children’s Bestselling List. This is an excellent addition to any YA Historical Fiction/Fantasy collection.
