Katherine and Michael are seniors in high school. This is their first serious relationship.
SYNOPSIS:
Katherine and Michael are seniors in high school. This is their first serious (sexual) relationship. As their relationship grows they must face some difficult questions; Is it love? Is it forever? When they are separated for the summer, those questions must be answered again, as they meet new people.
Judy Blume is a prolific author. She has written for teens and adults. Forever is one of the earliest coming-of-age stories to tackle sexuality and sex among teenagers. It manages not to feel dated, despite the lack of modern technologies, like cellphones and social media. For this reason it deserves a spot on the Fiction shelves of most YA collections.
